Students will receive House Points for attending the conferences with parents/guardians.
This is an important opportunity to for families and teachers to discuss and set up a plan for success for the school year.

It's time for Back to School!!!
Valentine Elementary School welcomes back all our students and families to our first day of school on Monday, August 4th.
Reminders: School opens at 7:30 am, the front gate closes at 8:00 am and classes begin. Students who arrive after 8:00 am must be escorted into the office by an adult to sign the student into the Tardy Log.
PARKING & DROP OFF ZONE
The drop off zone is still across the street, but now your vehicle will face north, toward the mountain. If students exit from the passenger side, they should cross in front of your vehicle and enter the crosswalk. DO NOT PARK IN THE DROP OFF ZONE.
The parking lot is temporarily at Music Mountain Bible Chapel. If you are signing students in or out, park there, and then come into the office.
DO NOT PARK ALONG THE FENCES ON EITHER SIDE OF THE SCHOOL ZONE.
BUS STOPS & PICKING STUDENTS UP
School dismissal begins at 3:20 pm. Be at school before this time if you are picking a student up from the school. Stay in your car in the Pick Up Zone - DO NOT PARK IN THE PICK UP ZONE.
If you are changing a student's transportation from riding the bus to being picked up, you must call the office to make this change before 2:30 pm. All staff members, including office staff, are unavailable to make transportation changes between 2:30 pm - 3:20 pm.
Students are only permitted one bus stop designation. Any request to change a bus stop must be filled out on the Bus Stop Change Form at least one day before the change is requested to go into effect. Bus Stop Change Forms are available in the office and on the school website, www.valentineaz.net.

* All visitors, including parents and guardians, MUST check-in and sign-in at the office upon arriving on campus for any reason.
* All visitors will be asked to present identification which must include a recognizable photo of the person.
* Classroom visits and meetings with teachers/staff members are by appointment only and must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
* While on campus, visitors MUST turn off cell phones and any other personal electronic devices and store them out of view and use for the entire visit. Evening holiday programs, awards assemblies, and graduation are the only acceptable times for visitors to take photos and recordings of their students.
* Any visitor to the campus who does not follow campus procedures and protocols will be asked to leave the school premises immediately. Any visitor not complying with requests to leave the campus will be reported to law enforcement and charges will be filed. School safety is a priority.
***Note: Visitor Procedures and Protocols are subject to change at the discretion of the VESD Administration and School Board to ensure student, staff, and school safety.
