
* All visitors, including parents and guardians, MUST check-in and sign-in at the office upon arriving on campus for any reason.
* All visitors will be asked to present identification which must include a recognizable photo of the person.
* Classroom visits and meetings with teachers/staff members are by appointment only and must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
* While on campus, visitors MUST turn off cell phones and any other personal electronic devices and store them out of view and use for the entire visit. Evening holiday programs, awards assemblies, and graduation are the only acceptable times for visitors to take photos and recordings of their students.
* Any visitor to the campus who does not follow campus procedures and protocols will be asked to leave the school premises immediately. Any visitor not complying with requests to leave the campus will be reported to law enforcement and charges will be filed. School safety is a priority.

***Parents/Guardians who have mobility disabilities: If you need to drop off a person who has mobility disabilities, pull into the Vendor Delivery designated spot to let them out, then go park at the church. DO NOT BLOCK THE GATE. DO NOT PARK ALONG THE FENCES. All parking is at the church.










Families are welcome to send in treats for the event and are invited to attend at 1:30 pm. Remember to check in at the office and receive a visitor's badge.

Valentine Elementary School welcomes back all our students and families to our first day of school on Monday, August 4th.
Reminders: School opens at 7:30 am, the front gate closes at 8:00 am and classes begin. Students who arrive after 8:00 am must be escorted into the office by an adult to sign the student into the Tardy Log.
PARKING & DROP OFF ZONE

BUS STOPS & PICKING STUDENTS UP
School dismissal begins at 3:20 pm. Be at school before this time if you are picking a student up from the school. Stay in your car in the Pick Up Zone - DO NOT PARK IN THE PICK UP ZONE.
If you are changing a student's transportation from riding the bus to being picked up, you must call the office to make this change before 2:30 pm. All staff members, including office staff, are unavailable to make transportation changes between 2:30 pm - 3:20 pm.
Students are only permitted one bus stop designation. Any request to change a bus stop must be filled out on the Bus Stop Change Form at least one day before the change is requested to go into effect. Bus Stop Change Forms are available in the office and on the school website, www.valentineaz.net.

For the first two weeks, plan on about a 15-minute window on either side of the scheduled stop times, as we fine tune the schedule. We will publish revisions when needed.
Remind your students that bus riding is a privilege that is earned by following the procedures.
There is no eating on the bus and no drinking of beverages of any kind other than water.
Students MUST remain seated and behave appropriately on the bus. Riding privileges will be suspended if they cannot.
Families must designate ONE bus stop for the afternoon route. If a change is necessary, complete a route change form at least one day in advance of the change.






Tutoring for math and reading and a variety of clubs will be held before school this year. Sessions start at 7:15 am and end at 7:45 am. Students will need to be dropped off at school by a parent or guardian to participate in before school tutoring and clubs.
Tutoring sessions and club meetings will begin the week of August 11th - August 14th.
Students must be signed up to attend tutoring sessions or club meetings. Spaces are limited for each session. Complete and return the Tutoring & Clubs form that will be sent home with students on Monday, August 4th to sign up your student to participate in these opportunities.

VESD is excited to be able to offer choices for electives to our middle school students during the 2025-2026 school year. These electives are in addition to the special areas classes for Music, P.E., and Art.
All 5th - 8th grade students must come sign up for Electives during the Back to School -Meet the Teacher Night on July 31st from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
Elective Sign-ups:
*First come, first serve
*Spaces are limited per elective
*Students who do not sign up during the Back to School night will be assigned to an elective that has spaces available
*Electives run for one semester (Half the school year)
*Students will not be able to switch electives during the semester
*Students will sign up in December for electives starting in January
