Valentine Elementary School • January 2023 Calendar Upcoming dates of note: 🔅 NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 9th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 🔅 Tuesday, January 17th from 5:30-6:30pm; come and meet the new 5th/6th grade Teacher, Mrs. Angle 🔅 Wednesday, January 18th we will enjoy our first visit of the new year from the Mohave County Library Book Mobile 🔅 Friday, January 27th at 6pm will be the Mohave County Spelling Bee. Valentine will be represented by our school Spelling Bee winner, Bela Balderrama. Congrats, Bela! 🎉

Dear Valentine Families, Quick reminder that today, Thursday, December 22nd is a EARLY RELEASE day. All students will be released at Noon. If you have not yet called the office to let us know where your student is going in lieu of the B&G Club due to their closure today, please do so, also Ms. McNeil will be making phone calls to families to verify alternate drop-off. Today is also the last day of school, Winter Break begins tomorrow, December 23. Students return from break on Monday, January 9th. Thanks and have a great day!

Dear Valentine Families, School will be in session today Monday, December 12th and will begin an hour later this morning as already stated, students can be dropped off starting at 8:30am. We unfortunately will not have bus service this morning due to freezing issues with the buses. We ask that you make arrangements to have your student(s) dropped off. Buses will run their normal routes in the afternoon.

Dear Valentine Families, Tomorrow, Thursday, December 1, 2022, there will be no bus service available for the Truxton-Valentine stops (Truxton Mailbox, Valentine, Balderrama 1 & 2, and Hackberry) in the morning or the afternoon. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you make the necessary arrangements for your students alternate pick up & drop-off and contact the office to let us know of your preferred afternoon pick up/drop-off for your student. Dear Valentine Families, Don't forget to join us today, Thursday, November 17th for our annual Pumpkin Pie Day! 🥧 Come join your student for pie. Kindergarten through 4th grade will have pie at 11:45am. 5th through 8th grade will have pie at 12:15pm.

Dear Valentine Families, This coming Monday, November 14, 2022, there will be no bus service available in the afternoon for the Truxton-Valentine Buck and Doe/West stops (1416 Milkweed, Music Mountain Loop, Box Canyon, Truxton Mailbox, Balderrama 1 & 2, and Hackberry). Dear Valentine Families, We wanted to inform you all that we will be enjoying a visit from the Hualapai Fire Dept to give class presentations for Fire Prevention Month, tomorrow, Thursday, October 13th from around 11am-12:30pm (possibly later if necessary to include all classes). Students will get to take a look inside a fire truck, climb inside the cab, and ask any questions they may have. If any families would like to be present to take photos as the kids enjoy touring the fire truck, please feel free to come join us. We wish you all a wonderful evening!

Dear Valentine Families, Our west bound bus (Valentine Bus Route) is currently delayed due to the ADOT road oiling. Please be advised that ADOT is going to be oiling Route 66 beginning mile post 94 East tomorrow. Traffic will likely be restricted to one lane, w/ pilot car escorts. Please plan accordingly for expected delays up to 30min. We look forward to seeing you and your student for the Student Led Engagement Dialogues occurring tomorrow, Wednesday, September 21st (appts set from 12:40pm-5:20pm) and Thursday, September 22nd (appts set from 12:40pm-3:40pm).
