To celebrate the end of another great year, we are making our annual trip up to the Hualapai Mountains. Students are welcome to engage in games and sports throughout the recreation area, go on hikes with different members of our staff, and enjoy the nature that the mountains have to offer. Lunch will be provided. Family members are welcome to come out and have fun with us.
We will not be in school this Monday in observance of Presidents’ Day. The third Monday in February is used to honor our first president, George Washington, and each person that has taken the position following him. Some of our greatest presidents include Abraham Lincoln, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, Harry S. Truman, and Dwight D. Eisenhower.

We will not be in school today in observance of MLK Day. Dr. King was a very influential figure in the Civil Rights Movement of the 50’s and 60’s, fighting for justice and equality. You can remember him today by reading or listening to one of his famous speeches, or reading about his efforts and activism.

8th Grade Students will be traveling to the White Cliffs Middle School to get a little taste of adult life. After drawing for their living conditions (job, income, family size, etc.), they will experience a “month” of budgeting, paying bills, and trying to make it all work.
